R6 Marketplace
How to Sell on the R6 Marketplace
Selling on the Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace is straightforward once you know the rules but a few gotchas catch almost every first-time seller. Your payout is always R6 Credits, Ubisoft takes a 10% cut on every transaction, and not every skin in your inventory is actually tradable. Get those three things straight and the rest of the process clicks into place fast.
This page walks you through eligibility, the full listing flow, pricing that actually moves items, and the real reasons your skins might not be showing up.
What You Can (and Can't) Sell
Before you get anywhere near the listing screen, you need to know which items are actually tradable. The Marketplace doesn’t accept everything in your inventory.
Items you can list:
- Weapon skins (most non-current-season ones)
- Operator uniforms and headgear
- Weapon charms
- Attachment skins
- Drone and gadget skins
- Card portraits
Items you can’t list:
- Anything from the current active season there’s a lock on all cosmetics released in the live season. Once the season rolls over, those items become tradable.
- Battle Pass exclusives that Ubisoft has flagged as non-tradable
- Items acquired through methods Ubisoft doesn’t recognise as Marketplace-eligible
- Renown-purchased content (Renown can’t move through the Marketplace at all only R6 Credits)
The current-season lock trips people up constantly. If you just bought a skin from the latest Battle Pass or season content drop and it’s not showing on the Marketplace, that’s almost certainly why.
Eligibility: Can You Sell at All?
Even if your items are tradable, your account has to meet Ubisoft’s baseline requirements.
Requirement | Detail |
Clearance Level | 25 or above |
Two-Factor Authentication | Must be active on your Ubisoft account |
Account standing | No active sanctions or bans |
Platform | PC via Ubisoft Connect client or web portal; console players use the web portal only |
Hit all four and you’re good. Miss any one of them and you won’t see the sell option at all the interface just won’t surface it.
Console players should know that while you can access the Marketplace through the web portal on PlayStation and Xbox, your inventory is shared across all platforms through cross-progression. Anything you own on PS5 shows up the same as what you own on PC.
Inventory Sync Problem (Read This Before You Panic)
Your skins won’t appear in the Marketplace the second you open it. This is the single most common reason new sellers end up confused or posting “why can’t I sell on R6 Marketplace” in the subreddit.
The fix: play a match. Ubisoft syncs your inventory to the Marketplace system after active game sessions. Opening the client and heading straight to the Marketplace before playing anything often shows a partial or empty inventory. Jump into a Quick Match, finish it, then go back. Your items should populate correctly.
If they still don’t show after a match, try:
- Restarting Ubisoft Connect completely
- Checking that 2FA is actually active (not just enabled confirmed active)
- Verifying the item isn’t season-locked (check when it was released)
- Checking the official R6Fix page and r/Rainbow6 for any reported sync bugs
How to List an Item: Step by Step
Once your inventory is synced and your account is eligible, the actual listing process takes about 90 seconds.
- Open the Marketplace. Either through the Ubisoft Connect client (PC) or the web portal at ubisoft.com. The in-client access and web portal show the same order book.
- Go to your inventory tab. This shows all your tradable items. Non-tradable items are either greyed out or won’t appear here at all.
- Select the item you want to sell. Click through to its item page. You’ll see the current order book active buy orders from players willing to pay right now, and existing sell orders from other sellers.
- Set your price. Enter the Credit amount you want for the item. The Marketplace runs on a lowest-match fill model, meaning when a buyer places a buy order, the system fills it from the cheapest available sell order first. Price matters.
- Confirm the listing. Review the price, check the fee breakdown (you’ll see your net payout after the 10% cut), and confirm. The item moves out of your active inventory immediately.
- Wait for a match. Your sell order sits in the order book until a buyer’s order matches your price or exceeds it. When it fills, the Credits land in your account.
10% Fee and Your Actual Payout
Ubisoft charges a 10% transaction fee on every sale. It’s taken from the sale price you don’t pay it separately. You set the price, the fee comes out, and you receive the remainder.
Listing Price | Fee (10%) | You Receive |
500 Credits | 50 | 450 Credits |
1,000 Credits | 100 | 900 Credits |
2,500 Credits | 250 | 2,250 Credits |
5,000 Credits | 500 | 4,500 Credits |
10,000 Credits | 1,000 | 9,000 Credits |
There is no cash-out. Credits stay as Credits. You can spend them in the Bravo Store on new cosmetics, use them to buy other items on the Marketplace, or hold them but you cannot convert them to real money. Anyone offering to “cash out” your Credits is either scamming you or breaking Ubisoft’s terms, which risks a permanent ban.
Use the fee and profit calculator on this site to work out your net return before you list, especially on higher-value items where the math matters more.
Pricing to Actually Sell
This is where most sellers leave money on the table or leave items sitting unsold indefinitely.
The Marketplace fills buy orders using the cheapest available sell order. That means if five sellers have Black Ice MP5 listed at 1,800, 1,850, 1,860, 1,900, and 2,000 Credits, the buyer’s order goes to the 1,800 listing first. The other four wait.
The practical implication: pricing at or slightly under the current floor is the fastest way to sell. Not drastically under that just loses you Credits for no reason but one Credit below the lowest active listing puts you first in the queue.
How to price well:
- Check the order book before listing. Look at both the active sell orders (competition) and the active buy orders (what buyers are already willing to pay). If there are buy orders at 1,750 and you list at 1,800, you’re waiting. If you match the buy order price, you sell immediately.
- Match a buy order for instant sales. If someone already has an open buy order at a price you’re happy with, listing at that price (or lower) fills their order right away. You don’t wait.
- Don’t anchor to what you paid. The Marketplace doesn’t care what you spent on an item. It cares what buyers are willing to pay today. Check current demand, not your memory of the price.
- Watch the spread. A wide gap between the highest buy order and the lowest sell order usually means low liquidity on that item. You can either wait for the market to tighten or price closer to the buy side if you want a faster sale.
For reference points: Black Ice variants have ranged from a few hundred to a couple thousand Credits depending on the weapon, with rarer weapons (BOSG.12.2, SMG-12, Jäger’s 416-C) sitting at the higher end. Glacier, a Year 1 Season 1 universal skin from February 2016, is among the rarest items in the game and has fetched correspondingly high prices when it surfaces. These are last-known reference points prices shift with supply and player demand, and should be confirmed against the live order book.
Active Order Limits and Daily Caps
You can’t list unlimited items simultaneously. The Marketplace applies both an active-order limit and a daily transaction cap. Ubisoft hasn’t published exact numbers publicly, but sellers with large inventories have reported hitting the active-order ceiling when listing many items at once.
Practically: if you’re clearing out a big inventory, you may need to stagger your listings over multiple days rather than dumping everything at once. Prioritise your highest-value items first so you’re not holding up Credits in listings for lower-value skins while expensive ones wait.
The ~15-Day Relist Hold
After you buy an item on the Marketplace, there’s a holding period roughly 15 days before you can relist it for sale. This was introduced to prevent instant flip-and-resell behaviour and slow down speculative churning.
If you’re buying items with the intention of reselling them, factor this into your plan. The market can move in 15 days. A skin that was worth 2,000 Credits when you bought it might be at 1,600 by the time you can sell.
Why Can't I Sell on the R6 Marketplace?
If you’re hitting errors or the sell option simply isn’t there, work through this list:
Account not eligible
- Clearance Level below 25 keep playing
- 2FA not active go to your Ubisoft account security settings
- Account sanction check your Ubisoft email for any enforcement notices
Item not eligible
- Current-season lock the item was released this season and can’t trade yet
- Item type not supported some cosmetics are non-tradable by design
- Item acquired through a non-eligible source
Inventory not syncing
- Play a match first to trigger the inventory sync
- Restart Ubisoft Connect and check again
- If the issue persists, check R6Fix for active reports
Marketplace is offline
- Since 27 December 2025, the Marketplace has been down following a backend exploit that resulted in approximately 2 billion duplicated R6 Credits. Ubisoft rolled back the Credits without banning affected players, but the Marketplace has remained offline. No confirmed return date has been given as of this writing, with the return tied to Year 11 and Operation Twin Shells. Follow official Ubisoft channels for updates.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sell skins in R6 Siege?
Open the Marketplace through Ubisoft Connect or the web portal, go to your inventory, select a tradable item, set your price, and confirm the listing. Your item enters the order book and sells when a buyer’s order matches your price. You receive the sale price minus the 10% transaction fee in R6 Credits. Play a match first if your items aren’t showing up inventory sync requires an active game session.
What can you sell on the R6 Marketplace?
Most non-current-season cosmetics are tradable: weapon skins, operator uniforms, headgear, charms, attachment skins, drone and gadget skins, and card portraits. Items from the active live season are locked until the season ends. Renown-based content is not tradable. Some cosmetics are flagged as permanently non-tradable by Ubisoft.
Why isn't my item showing up in the R6 Marketplace?
The most common cause is an inventory that hasn’t synced yet play a match and then check again. If the item still doesn’t appear, it may be season-locked (released in the current season), a non-tradable item type, or your account may not meet the eligibility requirements (Clearance Level 25, active 2FA, no sanctions).
Can you get real money from selling on the R6 Marketplace?
No. All sales pay out in R6 Credits only. There’s no way to convert Credits to real currency through Ubisoft’s official system. Third-party sites claiming to cash out your skins for real money operate outside Ubisoft’s terms of service and carry a serious risk of account bans or being scammed outright.
What is the selling fee on the R6 Marketplace?
Ubisoft takes a 10% transaction fee on every sale. If you list an item for 1,000 Credits, you receive 900 Credits. The fee is deducted automatically from the sale price you don’t pay it separately.
Why did my R6 Marketplace listing expire without selling?
Sell orders don’t stay open forever. If your price was above what buyers were willing to pay and no matching buy order came in before the listing expired, it returns to your inventory unsold. Check the current buy orders before relisting if buyers are offering 800 Credits and you’re asking 1,200, the listing will expire without a match.
Is the R6 Marketplace currently working?
As of this writing, no. The Marketplace has been offline since 27 December 2025 after a backend exploit caused a large-scale Credit duplication. Ubisoft took it down for investigation and has not given a confirmed return date. The relaunch is expected with Year 11 and Operation Twin Shells. Check the official Ubisoft Marketplace page for the latest status.
Once the Marketplace is back online, check the R6 Marketplace fee and profit calculator on this site before you set any price especially for higher-value skins where the 10% cut makes a real difference to what you actually walk away with.
