The R6 Marketplace is currently offline following the 27 December 2025 exploit but it’s coming back, and the access method won’t change when it does. On PC, you reach it through Ubisoft Connect or directly in the Siege client. On PlayStation or Xbox, there’s no in-game access at all: console players use the web portal only, through a browser on any device.
Before you try either route, run through the eligibility check below. Getting blocked at the door is the most common complaint from new traders, and every single block has a specific fix.
How to Access R6 Marketplace – Check your eligibility first
You can’t access the marketplace on any platform if you don’t meet all four of these conditions:

Clearance Level 25 takes most new players several hours of play to reach. It’s not account level it’s the in-game rank tied to match XP. If you came to Siege through the Siege X free-to-play relaunch in June 2025 and started trading immediately, this is probably where you’re stuck.
Two-factor authentication trips up a lot of players who set up their Ubisoft account years ago and never switched it on. Go to your Ubisoft account security settings, enable 2FA with an authenticator app or SMS, then try again.
Active sanctions even temporary ones from gameplay behaviour block marketplace access. If you have a sanction you weren’t aware of, Ubisoft Support is the only way to resolve it.
How to access the marketplace on PC
PC players get two options: through the Siege client directly, or through Ubisoft Connect’s built-in browser.
Option 1: In Game (Siege client)
- Launch Rainbow Six Siege through Ubisoft Connect.
- From the main menu, look for the Marketplace tab in the top navigation bar. It sits alongside the store and your operator roster.
- Click it. If your account is eligible, the marketplace loads inside the game client.
- If you get a “can’t trade” error or the tab doesn’t appear, run through the eligibility checklist above. The most common cause is 2FA not being enabled on your Ubisoft account.
One thing that catches new sellers off guard: your inventory won’t populate the second you open the marketplace. You need to have played at least one match first so your inventory syncs. If your skins aren’t showing up, close the marketplace, play a match, then come back.
Option 2: Web portal (PC browser)
- Open a browser and go to the official Ubisoft marketplace at ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/rainbow-six/siege/marketplace (or your regional equivalent).
- Sign in with your Ubisoft account credentials.
- The web version of the marketplace functions the same as the in-client version you can place buy orders, create sell listings, and browse the order book.
The web portal is useful if you want to check prices or manage orders without loading the game. PC players can use either route interchangeably.
How to access the marketplace on console
PlayStation and Xbox players cannot access the marketplace through the Siege game client. There is no in-game marketplace tab on console. The only way in is through the web portal on a phone, tablet, or PC browser while your console account is linked to Ubisoft Connect.
- On your phone, tablet, or computer, open a browser and go to the Ubisoft marketplace web portal.
- Sign in with the Ubisoft account linked to your PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, or Xbox One.
- The marketplace loads your cross-platform inventory. Skins you own on console are visible and tradable through the web portal.
- Any R6 Credits you earn from sales go into the Ubisoft wallet tied to your account spendable on either platform.
Your inventory is shared across platforms through Ubisoft’s cross-progression system. A skin you own on PlayStation will show up in your web portal marketplace inventory, and Credits earned through a sale can be spent in-game on console.
Console players often don’t realise they need to play a match on their console before their inventory fully syncs to the web portal. If your skins aren’t appearing, load up Siege, play one match, then check the web portal again.

Common access problems and fixes On How to Access R6 Marketplace
Problems: “I meet all the requirements but still can’t access it.”
Fixes: The marketplace has been offline since 27 December 2025. If it’s showing as unavailable right now, that’s not your account it’s the outage. Check the Is the R6 Marketplace Down Right Now? page for current status.
Problems: “My skins aren’t showing up in my marketplace inventory.”
Fixes: Play one match in Siege. Your inventory syncs to the marketplace after match activity. This affects both the in-game client on PC and the web portal for console players.
Problems: “I enabled 2FA but still get an error.”
Fixes: Log out of Ubisoft Connect completely, log back in, then try the marketplace again. Sometimes the eligibility check doesn’t update until your session refreshes.
Problems: “I can see the marketplace but my clearance level is below 25.”
Fixes: You can browse listings and place buy orders on some items, but you can’t create sell listings until you hit Level 25. Keep playing it typically takes 20 – 30 hours of match time.
Problems: “I’m on console and can’t find the marketplace in the game.”
Fixes: That’s expected. There’s no in-game marketplace tab on PlayStation or Xbox. Open a browser on any device, go to the Ubisoft marketplace web portal, and sign in there.

Note On Current Outage
The steps above are correct for when the marketplace is live. Right now, accessing the marketplace isn’t possible for anyone. Ubisoft took it offline on 27 December 2025 after a backend exploit duplicated approximately 2 billion R6 Credits. The return is tied to Year 11 and Operation Twin Shells, with no confirmed date.
